Sales & Marketing Manager
We have a fantastic new vacancy for Sales & Marketing Manager in Castle Dargan Hotel, Co. Sligo.
In this dynamic and challenging role, the Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for maximizing the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets via bedrooms, conference rooms, food & beverage, spa and golf.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing function to ensure maximum revenue & profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service.
- Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips.
- Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts to monitor production and more importantly to identify any decreases and taking necessary action to remedy same.
- Focus on driving meeting & conference business into hotel.
- Report weekly & monthly on account performance and general activity to General Manager and Directors.
- Management of annual marketing budget.
- Executive quarterly activity plans to create focus for the team and adapt activity to support business needs.
- Devise and execute hotel sales & marketing promotional campaigns through local & national media, evaluating & reporting on marketing campaigns ROI.
- Manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel.
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity.
Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years in a Sales/Marketing role, ideally in a Hotel or customer focused environment.
- A creative thinker with an outgoing personality who can drive new relationships as well as maintain existing ones.
- Experience of effective people management in a team environment.
- Sales focused, target and results driven.
- Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
- Confident, ambitious and pro-active.

To supervise and maximize every facet of our food and beverage operations, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager.
You will be in charge of predicting, planning, and managing F&B orders, personnel, and budgets as well as making sure that guests have an outstanding experience.
By continuously meeting and surpassing customer expectations, encouraging employee engagement, and keeping a focus on efficiency and quality, your major goal will be to maximize sales and revenue.
You will be essential to our F&B department’s success and to raising overall guest satisfaction by putting creative ideas into practice and upholding high standards.
Reaponsibilities:
- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Be involved in the design of exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns

Castle Dargan Estate is seeking to hire greenkeepers to join the the team.
The ideal candidates would need to have the following skills;
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Have experience using machinery, this would be an advantage but not necessary as full training will be provided
- Have good organisational skills and timekeeping
- Full clean Driving License
Responsibilities include:
- Mowing of Greens, Tees, Approaches, Fairways & Rough
- Bunker Maintenance
- Course Set Up
- Be involved in all other aspects of course and grounds maintenance
- Repairing divots on playing surfaces.
- Hand watering and irrigating turf.
- Identifying and controlling weeds and pests.
- Identifying and controlling turf diseases and disorders.
- Marking of hazards, out of bounds and ground under repair.
- Maintaining bunkers.
- Renovate worn and damaged turf.
- Rolling greens with a turf iron or similar.
